The Alpha Bible

Have you ever had trouble finding a book of the Bible? Fumbled while trying to quickly locate that reference while listening to the sermon? If so, perhaps The Alpha Bible is for you. It is the King James Version of the Bible arranged by book name in alphabetical order. Thus, Acts is first, then Amos all the way through to the end - Zephaniah. You can view samples at their website (click under News Room, Media Center) or order a copy through Amazon.com. Thanks to MV for sending this information!

The New Community Bible

I just heard about an update to the Christian Community Bible. I read about over at Timothy's Catholic Bibles blog. It is titled The New Community Bible. There is a review of it at the Otagosh blog. The St. Paul's Society in Australia has an announcement about it as well. The writer of Otagosh notes that the use of "Yahweh" was discontinued and returns to "the LORD."

The Christian Community Bible by Bernardo Hurault was first published in 1988. It has undergone many editions since then. (I have a seventeenth edition.) The Christian Community Bible is #8295, page 40, in the Encyclopedia of English-Language Bible Versions.
