Bible Editions and Versions, The Bible Corner, Tyndale for Today

I just got my copy of the Journal of the International Society of Bible Collectors, Bible Editions & Versions (Vol. 13, No. 2, April-June 2012). First, there was a slip of paper inside stating that the annual convention is going to be October 12-13 in Boston, Massachusetts. More information will be in the July-September issue.

Then, I read in an article about the web site that this excellent resource has a new owner. The new site is It still has all the same resources - access to 300 Bibles both on their site and on other sites.

And, lastly, on The Bible Corner I noticed a new version: Tyndale for Today. It is a modernized edition of Tyndale's preface, New Testament and Jonah. It is presented in parallel format with the modernized and original for comparison.

  1. Brad,

I don't know if anyone's said it recently, but thank you for posting these things. I find it fascinating. Because of your blog/website, I have tracked down quite a few Bibles and their creators, and have gotten permission to turn many of them into e-Sword modules.

Have you ever heard of the "Christian Bible - the New Contract Writings"? I'd not heard of it until today. Look up "" on the Wayback machine at and read all about it. Unfortunately, I'm not finding any recent contact information.

  2. I've heard of it, but not gotten a copy to look over. Are your e-sword modules available for download?

  3. Most of them, yes. is a free website devoted to free e-Sword modules. All of the ones I've created are available there. Here's the direct link to the files I've created for e-Sword:
